The Deep Field x Sacred Voyage colt that TBB Racing have a small share in has been named Deep Voyage. The flashy colt was purchased by Darby Racing & Will Johnson Bloodstock for $30,000 at the 2021 Inglis Classic Yearling Sale.
Deep Voyage will be trained by Matthew Smith at Warwick Farm and is the sort of colt that will catch your eye.
"I was at the pre-parade ring at the Inglis Riverside Stables, and I saw this colt parading out of the corner of my eye," said TBB Racing's Todd Blum.
"I had to go over and have a look at this horse and find out what Lot number it was and the breeding.
"I saw he was Deep Field colt and thought he was well out of reach. It turns out he is one that just slipped through allowing Darby Racing to snap him up for a bargain price."
Deep Voyage is by one of the most exciting young stallions in the country in Deep Field who, with his oldest crop just four-year-olds, recently sired his first Group 1 winner in Portland Sky.
His dam, Sacred Voyage, is by Dubai Destination and is a half-sister to dual Group 1-winning mare Sacred Choice. Sacred Choice was the winner of the Myer Classic and the Doncaster. She was an exceptional race-mare, winning nine times, including four at Stakes level.
