Cracking Night First-Up Place

Cracking Night returned to the track in a positive manner on New Years Day to get 2021 off to a positive start for TBB Racing.

Cracking Night was first-up at his home track in the Mornington Car & Tyre Services Plate over 1500m with Jack Martin onboard.

"It was pleasing to see him kick off the campaign like that as he was first-up over 1500m, so he stuck it out nicely," said Todd Blum after the race.

"He is a horse that showed us a little bit at his second start and then just lost his way a little bit after that, so it's nice to see him fight the race right to the line."

TBB Racing have a small group involved in the three-year-old by Night Of Thunder that is trained by Shane Nichols.

"The boys involved have been pretty patient and as first-time owners, they have experienced a bit of everything so far except that sweet taste of a win so hopefully that's just around the corner," Blum added.

Night Of Thunder has been somewhat of a revelation with just one crop in Australia but has continued to churn out the winner's in the Southern Hemisphere as well as some excellent results north of the equator.

"Shane will see how he comes through the run and see where we go next although I know he has his eye on a mile maiden somewhere so hopefully he comes on from the run and with a nice showing next start can be a right there in the photo."

TBB Racing will be looking to continue to build in 2021 and Todd will be attending the major Yearling Sales across the year so if you have any interest at all to get involved then please don't hesitate to contact us with any questions you may have or interests in the sales.
