Trainer: Marc Chevalier (Hawkesbury)

TBB Racing have been on the lookout for a tried horse to add to our initial offerings, both yearling fillies. We have teamed up with Marc Chevalier Racing who has recently taken out a licence in his own name after playing an integral part in Danny O'Brien's Flemington Stable.

GO RACING IN A MONTH'S TIME!

The plan is to give Pitavago a trial at Hawkesbury on August 23 and then look at a race within two weeks of the trial.

Marc says "We couldn't be any happier with how she has improved physically. She arrived with us with a bit of muscle soreness behind which is now completely gone."

"Her feet needed attention and our farrier has done a terrific job with them, which made a big difference in her action. She has also adapted well to our feeding program, which has been made in consultation with the highly regarded nutritionist Dr Caroline Foote. Thanks to this her coat is starting to shine and she is putting on some nice muscle."

TBB Racing are backing Marc in right from the start and believe he has the experience and knowledge to really make the grade as a trainer. Marc has set up a base at Hawkesbury on a beautiful little property with excellent facilities backing onto the track.

Pitavago is a five-year-old come the new season but she is still very lightly raced having only had the four starts. She finished second at her most recent outing and it was on the back of that her previous trainer decided to capitalise and offered her for sale as he didn't have the space for the amount of horses he had in work.

Pitavago was selected by Marc out of the Inglis Digital Catalogue with the purpose to be running as soon as possible to represent the stable.

"We were targeting horses that are ready to go as we continue to build the stable and I was so pleased to be able to secure this mare at the price I did," said Chevalier.

"We are very keen to have her up and running and will be looking to pick off some nice races on the way through to build her form and confidence as well as get some attention to the stable."

Marc Chevalier grew up in France and worked for some of the most famous names in the thoroughbred world globally. He spent time at Sheik Hamdan's Shadwell Stud in England before returning to France to break in yearlings for HH The Aga Khan. The Aga Khan Stud is home to some of the best bloodlines and pedigree's in the world.

He made the move to Australia to work at Arrowfield Stud in what was meant to be a six month working holiday. It is now 10 years later.

Marc was always more interested in training but it was important to have a complete understanding of the horse before doing so. He left Arrowfield and took an opportunity to be Assistant Trainer to Gary Moore at Rosehill. Together they tasted Group 1 Glory with Takedown in the Winterbottom Stakes in 2016.

He then spent time at Lloyd Williams' state-of-the-art Macedon Lodge before being poached by Danny O'Brien to head his Flemington stable. Marc played an integral part in arguably the most in form stable in Victoria, if not Australia.

He has now made the bold move to set out on his own and TBB Racing are backing him right from the word go.

We have taken a share in Pitavago and have partnered with Marc Chevalier Racing and would love for you to join us.
